Unitrin Inc. was renamed to Kemper Corporation and Unitrin Direct was renamed to Kemper Direct in May, 2012. Kemper Direct became a separate unit in July, 2012. The Company has operations in 28 states in the country including Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Texas. Addition to headquarter, it has setup five offices; these offices include Carlsbad, Plymouth Meeting and Tampa. Kemper Direct offers products under two brand names: iMingle Insurance and Teachers.com Insurance. iMingle brand was introduced in 2010 and is focused on company clients. The brand is not available in all the 28 states. Teachers.com was introduced in 1992 and is focused on retired educators.
