Background
The theatre was founded in the year 1920 by the Dubinsky
Brothers in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. It is headquartered at Leawood, Kansas. By 1961, Stanley Durwood, son of one of the original owners took control over the theatre. He found the single screen concept as limiting and then the first ever multiplex theatre in the world was born. By 1968, the multi-screen theatre chain expanded nationwide. It has always looked beyond for newer and better ideas by providing AMC Dine-In Theatres with Cinema Suites and Fork & Screen and MacGuffins bars, to delight customers. It introduced stadium style seating so that people could have unobstructed screen view.
AMC Operations
