I used (BA) points on 09-27-18 to fly on AA from Aus. To Pho. On 12-24-18. The credit card (CC) I used was compromised after this. The cost was $28. 40 paid under the CC. The e-ticket receipt from BA states: "If payment cardholder is travelling, you must bring the card used to pay for this booking to the airport with you for verification, before you can travel. I am purchasing a ticket and wanted to take advantage of the Aadvantage Citi Master Card $200. 00 statement credit. I applied for the card and was approved, but was told a temporary card number could not be generated, therefore, I could not receive the $200. 00 benefit. I have only seen this particular advertising at the purchasing step of the ticket, which gives me the impression I will be able to take advantage of the benefit when the ticket is purchase, upon Citi Card approval. I was approved and told that I would receive my card in 7-10 days, then I could make the purchase, which is much too late. I may have missed it in the fine print, but I did not see where this benefit could be applied at a later date.
