Amity School of Fashion Technology-ASFT provides professional education in the field of Design, Technology & Management of fashion, textile and apparel industry. Amity School of Fashion Technology endeavors to create professionals who can understand the dynamics of global business environment of the fashion & apparel industry in post quota & liberalized textile economy. The objective of these programme is to inculcate in the students the aptitude and skills to work as professionals in various functional areas of Fashion & Apparel Industry. Amity School of Fashion Technology-ASFT , Amity University has world class infrastructure & dedicated faculty team comprising of regular & visiting (Industry) faculty to offer various programmes. India is 2nd largest producer of textile & garments. This industry is 2nd largest provider of employment in the country and contributes significant percentage of Net foreign exchange earnings of the country. India has rich and traditional textile base which gets further support by availability of skilled man power to make India competitive in apparel industry. India has always been one of the important player in textile and apparel international market and in the last few years it has become significantly known for its Fashion design collections also in the international market.
Amity School of Fashion Technology-ASFT infrastructure is dynamic in nature because of our constant attempt to maintain pace with the development available to us. The infrastructure acts as a facilitator for the effective delivery of our curriculum. The classrooms provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. They have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented by well-equipped facilities. The air-conditioning in the classrooms creates the right atmosphere for long hours of learning. The Garment Manufacturing Lab is equipped with the latest Automatic and Semi automatic sewing machines, , Button Fixing, Buttonholing, Lock Stitch and Overlock Machines. The Textiles Lab at ASFT is fully equipped with Dyeing, Printing & Testing equipments. The lab also provides facility for weaving.
The objective of Amity School of Fashion Technology-ASFT has always been to be in the forefront of utilization of IT and to leverage the power of IT in making learning informative and entertaining. The state-of-the-art technology in our Computer Labs comprises of the following: The entire network rests on four (Firewall, Intranet, Mail, Attachments File & Print) HP and IBM servers. The student and faculty members can access the Internet throughout the campus with the help of broadband radio link and ISDN line backup. The lab is equipped with the latest versions of designing softwares like Corel Draw, Illustrator, Photoshop, Fashion Studio .The Library has number of books, national and international fashion magazines and journals covering all aspects of the Fashion Design, Technology & Management Programmes. State-of-the-art Auditoriums with a combined seating capacity of over 3,500 act as a common ground for students, faculty and corporate personalities for regular interfaces, conferences and other events.
Amity School of Fashion Technology-ASFT has ultra-modern Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of 300. The Hall is well equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and presentation tools to facilitate smooth presentations etc. Modern gourmet class, air-conditioned restaurants offer variety of Indian, Chinese and continental snacks and meals to cater to the multi-ethnic tastes of the students. There are special counters for ice-creams, shakes and delicious chaat. Students come to Amity from every corner of the country. A 1000-bed Hostel provides such an ambience that the students feel the ambience of home. The rooms are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms, proper house keeping facilities, telephone and a host of other amenities as well. There are separate hostels for boys & girls, in and off campus localities. To ensure total well-being of students, an ultra-modern Healthcare Centre has been set a up at ASFT. A highly qualified and experienced resident doctor is in attendance, full time. A tie-up with Apollo Hospital and Kailash Hospital has been worked out to take care of emergencies. At ABS, sports form one of the important aspects of a student's development. From increasing concentration levels and working as a team to inculcating a winning spirit; sports help students build a strong character and a well rounded personality.
Programme being offered at Amity School of Fashion Technology-ASFT are designed & updated with inputs from industry members and academicians with expertise in understanding the requirements of industry and knowledge of international benchmarking in the related education field. Students are having a close interaction with the industry & designers as a part of course curriculum whereas they are expected to be with industry for a period of 6 to 8 weeks during summer training / project. It provides them an opportunity to see and become a part of industry which enhance their classroom learning & provides practical experience. It offers B.Sc. - Fashion Design, B.Sc. - Fashion Technology, M. A. - Fashion Retail Management, M.Sc. - Fashion & Textile Merchandising and MBA - Fashion Management.

Our students are working in prestigious organizations, Export Houses & Designers i.e. Aman Atlantic, Ashish Soni, Geo Clothing Co.Ltd, Madura Garments, Manish Arora, Satya Paul., Vastra Overseas Pvt Ltd. ASFT focuses on giving the best of industry-oriented training to its students. As part of the academic requirements, it is mandatory for the student to undergo a six to eight week Internship in the industry. This exposure generates a rationality and pragmatism and encourages them to correlate classroom learning with what happens in the industry.
