Ms. Maureen Jones On Phone To Arizona Hall Pearl Harbor Hi Service
This is not a complaint, but it is a constructive criticism. I was fortunate enough to visit the USS Arizona Memorial today, something I have long wanted to do. We found the experience well managed and clearly set out, until we went over to the memorial itself. Clear warning was given not to take photographs and to be respectful, or we would be asked to wait on the launch. The minute people set foot inside, out came the cameras and smart phones, with the people wielding them pushing and jostling to get the best spot. There is little point in issuing threats if they are not carried through. It would then serve as a warning to others - or confiscate cameras until back on land. This is a war grave, with people paying respects to family members and friends. How would the would be photographers feel if people desiccated their loved ones' graves. Please think again about upholding enforcement in this dignified and moving place.
