College of Engineering Chengannur – Alappuzha was set up under the auspices of the Institute of Human Resources and Development (IHRD) and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology which is known internationally for its academic excellence. College offers different kind of bachelor and master courses leading to different streams.

There is a badminton court in the centre of the main academic building, and we also have a fully equipped gymnasium which is very popular among the students. For the enthusiastic sport lovers of our college, Apart from the annual meet there are special annual inter semester Football Competition, Badminton Competition, Throw ball Competition for girls, and an Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Championship.Health Club and Yoga Centre of College of Engineering Chengannur – Alappuzha or gymnasium is accessible to the students from early in the morning till late in the evening. It is fully equipped with all the latest equipments, treadmill, and free weights. Regular yoga classes are conducted in the college and are attended by students with much vigor.

The connection is distributed through the campus network to an intranet connecting various laboratories and subnets inside each lab, departments, workshops, library, office as well as each class rooms. The wireless connectivity in campus is equipped with sufficient indoor access points, through which Wi-Fi internet connection is available inside the campus. These facilities cater to the computing, information processing and multimedia requirements of the entire college.
Hostel Facility of College of Engineering Chengannur – Alappuzha there are two hostels, one each for boys and girls. The Men's Hostel is located right next to the campus and has a capacity of 70 students. Recreational facilities are also provided to the inmates. The hostel also has Internet Connectivity provided through two Broadband Connections with speeds of 256 KBps. The Ladies’ Hostel is situated half a kilometer away, near the Railway Station. The college bus provides for the transit to and from the college every day. The Ladies' Hostel is also provided with net connectivity. The Hostel's each have a warden who is usually a faculty member, to supervise and to address any grievances.
