U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana situated in Ganpat vidyanagar campus was established in septmber-1997 under the aegis of Mehsana District Education Foundation with a view of educating and training young talented students of Gujarat at the field of engineering and technology to meet the needs of industries in Gujarat and beyond for the growth of the industries.
U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana is named after Shri Ugarchandbhai Varanasibhai Patel, a leading industrialist of Gujarat, for his generous donation of Rs. 1.25 crores. U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana is a self-financed institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the Government of Gujarat and now it became the constituent college of Ganpat University.
U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana is spread over 25 acres of land and is a part of Ganpat vidyanagar Campus. U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana has two ultra modern buildings of architectural splendor measuring 6100 sqm. and 2700 sqm. for housing class rooms, tutorial rooms, seminar hall, offices, drawing hall, workshop, library, well equipped different departmental laboratories, several computer labs with internet connectivity through 1 Mbps wireless link, satellite link education center with two-way audio and one-way video link with Gandhinagar etc.
U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana Campus sprawling over 300 acres having rural surrounding with full of greenery, several gardens, a pond, playground and plantation of over forty thousand trees provide refreshing and enliven academic environment on the U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana campus. To conserve the energy and to ensure light over the campus during the night with higher reliability, the entire campus is illuminated by solar street lights-an unique feature.
The foundation has constructed a large education complex near Kherva village of Mehsana District. The complex is far from the urban din and is located in natural surroundings on Mehsana – Gozaria state highway. The total area of the U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana campus is around 300 acres where large institute buildings and separate hostels for boys and girls are constructed.

The U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana contributes the development of the city and region through a number of partnerships and programs like NSS. The U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana is authorized for a National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit comprising 200 volunteers. The unit enrolls students who have the urge to do social work. Programs like family planning, prevention of malaria, and functional literacy drive are carried on by the NSS volunteers in the neighboring rural areas. Every volunteer has to attend a 10 day Annual Camp in which the cleaning up of environment in a particular area is taken up. The NSS volunteers are also at the forefront of the blood donation campaign in the U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana and every year. We recognize that we have to strike a balance between the needs of students and those of the local community.
The Convergence 2010 a National Level Technical Student Symposium organized at U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana. The pursuit of this convergence program demands intellectual maturity, strength of purpose and willingness of work hard. The Aim of this Convergence is to bring the students of U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsanato a common platform and provide the opportunities to develop their communication skill, organizing skill and to show their intellectual talent and I hope these expectations to be full-filled.

Quite a good number of Over Head Projectors (OHP),4 Multi-media Projectors, Slide Projector, Scanner, Laser Printers, Large number of Self-learning CDs and Video Cassettes, Education Center with two –way Audio One way Video Satellite link connectivity with Gandhinagar and all the software required for education purpose are available with the U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsana.

The said blocks are constructed in modern architectural splendor with state-of-the-art facilities like reading room, TV room, separate safe cupboard and reading table. The bath room and toilet are shared by the inhabitants of two rooms. Each block has a mess serving vegetarian and hygienic food. Some more hostels are under construction.
Connectivity with Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Mehsana is ensured by regular bus service managed by the trust. Extension counter of the Mehsana District Urban Co-operative Bank is set up in the U V Patel College of Engineering – UVPCE Mehsanacampus for students and staff.
