Institute of Management Studies - IMS Indore was established in 1969, under the aegis of the University, Institute (IMS), Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) acts as the management education wing of DAVV and shares the responsibility to provide leadership in fulfilling the joint mission of education, research and training. The institute is one of the top ranking institutions in India.
Institute of Management Studies - IMS Indore started a Health Care Programme with the Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. The Institute is a part of an USAID funded Consortium with the Tulane University for teaching, training and research in Hospital Administration. It also has academic collaboration with National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) for training activities. The Institute has formed a consortium with Vinod Gupta Charitable Foundation, New Delhi and Social Work Academy for Research and Action Jaipur, Rajasthan (SWARAJ) for academic purposes.
Institute of Management Studies - IMS Indore has dedicated young and highly qualified faculty and is supported by distinguished visiting and guest faculty from industry and professions like consulting, chartered accountancy, etc. It has developed strong linkage with industry which has continuously provided it unstinted support and co-operation. The Invocation Ceremony of
Institute of Management Studies - IMS Indore, marks the Welcoming of the newly admitted students in a grand formal event organized every year with the dawn of the new academic session. The ceremony witnesses the presence of eminent personalities from the industry as guests who address the freshers and welcomes them to begin their best years of life as they step into an entirely new facet of their academic pursuit - 'The College Life'. The ceremony is presided over by the honorable Vice Chancellor of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) and our beloved Director addresses the students and welcomes them to pursuit their academic excellence at Institute.
The activities in the Placement Cells at
Institute of Management Studies - IMS Indore are taken care of by a Placement Committee, which is formed after the members are selected from amongst the students after rigorous eligibility tests like Academic Performance, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. The committee thus formed assists the Placement Officer of the respective cell and provides a platform for the students to interact with the industry and help them in shaping their destiny. Placement Services: Constant touch with the corporate job market, Publication of regular placement bulletins, Summer Placement and Training on a regular basis, Placement of our graduates with a package ranging between Rs. 3.5 to 6.5 lacs p.a.
