School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai of the SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University has long been a leader in management education. Apart from offering various programs for students, the School also offers executive education programs for working professionals, who want to make the key transition in their lives. Each teaching area has a Board of Studies headed by its HoDs or Chairperson. It comprises of members from the industry and academia. The objectives of these boards are to review the curriculum and syllabus, suggest courses, text books and other measures to meet the demands of students, industry and other stakeholders.
The Dean is the operational head of School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai. Along with his faculty team he decides the goals, strategic operations and plan of action for the school, keeping in mind the overall vision, mission and goals of the university. He is supported by Heads of Departments (HoDs) and Chairpersons for various areas, together with the Course Coordinators for the smooth running of various programs. The Dean is responsible for all academic matters like, building a learning climate, students’ learning and development, curriculum development, faculty selection, assessment and development and program delivery. Besides, he also leads placement of the graduates, development of research, executive education, international linkages, creation of brand image and other quality measures for the SBM. The Dean is a member of all the statutory committees of the University.

School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai has 40,000 square feet of built up area. The classrooms, the seminar and the conference halls have been fully air - conditioned for long hours of teaching and interactive participation with a spacious well - planned campus. All classrooms and seminar halls are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-video aids and catering facilities. School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai provides Diploma and Master Degree program to the students.
School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai is located at V. L. Mehta Road, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai, Maharashtra. The well furnished and air conditioned School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai library has a stock of more than 42,000 volumes and subscribes to about 308 Indian and Foreign periodicals spanning all aspects of management. The library also houses 521 videos, 319 audio’s, 187 CD’s, 274 VCD’s, annual reports, management games, news clippings, newsletters and case studies. The open access system facilities free use of books on the shelf. The books issue service is available to the users from 8:30 am to 9:50 pm on all weekdays and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sundays.
School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai has pioneered the initiative of scientifically assisting students in preparing for Group Discussions or Job Interviews by developing an Audio Interactive Language Lab on the campus. This move is mainly directed towards making the students display the right internal personality driven message to their recruiters during a corporate placement, group discussions or interviews that are lining -up in the campus.
School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai provides computer lab facility. The Computer center is equipped with branded personal computers adequately supported by 3mbps shared leased line for Internet connectivity. It is also equipped with a wide range of licensed system software and applications software. The entire campus is connected with Wi-Fi network. All classrooms in the University are air-conditioned and have ceiling mounted LCDs. Most classrooms have a capacity of 60. In addition, the University has a well equipped seminar hall and a conference hall.
With the establishment of its Rotary Club of Bombay West Chair in Management of Non-Profit Organisations in 1991, School of Business Management - SBM Mumbai became one of the earliest institutions in this country to develop training in the voluntary sector. With the collaboration of the Rotary Club of Bombay West, the Institute conducted short-term courses in the areas of management of NGOs, and designed a Certificate Program in Management of Voluntary Service Organization, which was subsequently upgraded to a Diploma program in 2004. To promote entrepreneurship among women, a 12 week program in Enterprise Training for Women is being offered since 1992.
