Ran Vijay Singh College of Engineering and Technology-RVSCET Ranchi is the First Private Engineering College in the industrial city of Jamshedpur. The college was inaugurated on 24.05.04 by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand in presence of the Minister for Human Resource Development. There are separate hostels for boys and girls on two sides of the campus. Students are provided sharing accommodation in the first year. Each room of the Ran Vijay Singh College of Engineering and Technology-RVSCET Ranchi hostels are attached with bathroom and fitted with cupboards, chairs, tables, beds, light and power points. A weekly laundry service is provided. Each hostel has its own common room where students can relax and watch television. The college is residential in nature. Separate dining hall outside the hostel accommodates all students at the time of lunch and dinner. The arrangement is made to develop brotherhood among the students in order to have peace and harmony in the campus.

The college has a good library in 7500-sq.ft area, having more than 12000 volumes of books of various disciplines. 60 National and 19 International Journals & Magazines are subscribed at present. The department has a digital library also, having 10 computers which are connected to DELNET. Library facility is open to all students and faculty members and is continuously updated with latest books and journals. It has got good atmosphere for study.
