Kanji are the adopted logographic Chinese characters used in the Japanese language. These characters were first introduced
 Via Korea in the fifth century. Each character of the Kanji has its own meaning and it corresponds to a word. The words can be created by the combination of characters. There was no Japanese writing system before the introduction of the Chinese characters. The number of characters which are commonly used in the
 Japan comprises of approximately two thousand to three thousand characters. For everyday use of Kanji characters a set of 2136 characters has been officially declared.
