The college admits students in the MBBS course through a nationwide counseling process not only from the state but also the students are admitted from all over the parts of India. The hospital has the interns who are medical students of the college and doing their crri. This college got a grant for building up its campus from the government of tamil nadu and the funds were contributed by the government. The college has intake of 100 students every year in the MBBScourse. The hospital in the college campus also gives training to the interns and provides special investigative facilities to the patients. The facilities provided includes computed tomography, tmt, mri, echocardiography, maternal and obstetrics, neonatal care and many other facilities at affordable prices or even free facilities to those patients who cannot afford.
