Vinod Kinariwala was the first student martyr of the country during “Quit India Movement” and the college has a memorial in his memory. In 1970 the department of dramatics was established and thereafter in 2009 Department of Computer Science. The college campus includes an arts building, science and physics buildings, library, halls, botanical garden, tutorial building and playground. The college has a strong focus on overall development of the students by means of various activities like academic counselling, educational guidance, job placements, diverse co-curricular activities apart from the routine classroom teaching.
