Lee Alexander McQueen was a British fashion designer. He was born on 17 March 1969 in Lewisham, London and died on 11 February 2010 at the age of 40. He is known for the establishment of a fashion brand Alexander McQueen label. He received a degree in fashion designing from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He worked as the chief designer at Givenchy and has worked with notable fashion designers like Koji Tatsuno and Romeo Gigli. Many notable celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman, Koda Kumi and Rihanna have worn Alexander McQueen's dresses. Lee Alexander McQueen has been honored with many awards such as British Fashion Designer of the Year, Commander of the Order of the British Empire and Council of Fashion Designers of America International Designer of the Year.
