Alexander Mikhaylovich Ovechkin is a professional ice hockey player of Russia. He was born on September 17, 1985 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. Alexander Ovechkin began his professional career in 2001 with Dynamo-2 Moscow. He became the captain of Washington Capitals in 2010 and is also the player of Russian National Team. Alexander Ovechkin has also played for HC Dynamo Moscow (KHL). He has been honored with many awards such as Wayne Gretzky Award (2013), NHL Player of the Year (2008,2009), Kharlamov Trophy (2006-2010) and Calder Memorial Trophy (2006).
