Anil Shastri is an Indian politician representing Indian national congress. He represents Varanasi constituency and was elected to the ninth Lok Sabha from this constituency in 1989. Anil Shastri has also been a Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India. He is the son of Lal Bahadur Shastri, a former Indian Prime Minister. Anil Shastri is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, St. Columba's School, Delhi as well as Ashridge Business School, U.K. He is also an academic, holding the Chairmanship of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management & Technology, Bareilly.
