James David "Jim" Matheson is an American Democratic party politician. He was born on March 21, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah. James Matheson has served as the Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah's 2nd district and as the Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah's 4th district. He holds an M.B.A. degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and worked for several different companies in the energy field before entering politics.
