Kenneth William Bates a.k.a Ken Bates is an English businessman. He is also the former chairman and owner of Leeds United A.F.C. and former owner/chairman of Chelsea F.C. Kenneth Bates was born on 4 December 1931 in Ealing, Middlesex, England. In the early part of his life Kenneth Bates was involved with various enterprises including projects on the British Virgin Islands and in Rhodesia.
