Sultan Abu Bakr Shah was a Muslim Turkic ruler. He ruled the Tughlaq empire from 1389 to 1390. Abu Bakr was the grandchild of Sultan Feroze Shah Tughluq. However he was defeated by his uncle Muhammad Shah ibn Firuz Shah in 1390 who succeeded him as a king. After the defeat Abu Bakr Shah was imprisoned and soon after he died in the prison.
