James Laurence Balsillie also known as Jim Balsillie is a Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was born on February 3, 1961 in Seaforth, Ontario, Canada. He is also the co-founder and former co-CEO of the Canadian company BlackBerry. Jim Balsillie is also the founder of several other organizations which include e Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and Canadian International Council (CIC). He has also served as the member of United Nations on Global Sustainability. Jim Balsillie was appointed as the Chair of Sustainable Development by the Canadian Government in 2013.
