Al Davis or Allen "Al" Davis was an American football executive and a civil rights activist. He was born on July 4, 1929 in Brockton, Massachusetts and died at the age of 82 in Oakland, California on October 8, 2011. He owned and was the general manager of Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (1972 to 2011). Al Davis was awarded the American Football league's Coach of the Year in 1963 and was Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992. Throughout his career he coached many teams viz. Adelphi (OL), The Citadel (OL), v etc., and won the AFC Championship (1976), Super Bowl XI (1976), Super Bowl XV (1980) etc.
