BSNL History
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is a result of two telecom corporation's of Govt of India. The corporation's were involved in network management and telecom service but on 1st October 2000 both were merged. BSNL was incorporated on 15th of September 2000 to replace the services of the Department of Telecom. The two erstwhile corporation's name were Central Government Departments of Telecom Services (DTS) and Telecom Operations (DTO).
