Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas established in 2008-09 in Adamas Knowledge City is the Engineering College called Adamas Institute of Technology. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas imparts Bachelor of Technology courses in the streams of Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology. Two more streams viz., Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering are proposed to be introduced from the year 2010-11. Another stream is expected in 2011-12. The teaching faculty is a mix of senior teachers with high academic and industrial experience and the younger ones brimming with energy and brilliance. The Institute is headed by Prof. Abhijit Mukherji who is nationally recognised as an erudite Engineer with multidisciplinary academic background and deep exposure of industry, education and research.
Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas has come up with huge infrastructure covering 3.5 lacs square feet of built-up area consisting of the Administrative Block, five Academic Blocks, a Central Workshop, one Girls’ Hostel and two Boys’ Hostel. The Administrative Block aims to house state-of-the-art infrastructure consisting of a Language Laboratory, an EDUSAT Centre, a Conference Room, a Seminar Room with Video Conferencing facilities and a large Meeting Hall. The Academic Blocks have class rooms, laboratories and other facilities having big spaces and areas. A Central Workshop is being constructed with a built up area of 12000 square feet.
Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas aims to grow both horizontally and vertically with higher courses in post graduation and research. Simultaneously, the quality infrastructure as available may be better harnessed with introduction of multiple shifts in future. Vision of college is to form unique centre of learning with multifaceted activities where young and eager school-leavers are transformed into trained and knowledgeable professionals, ready to face the challenges of the modern world.

Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas is located in Barasat-Barrackpore Road, Barbaria, P.O. -Jagannathpur Dt-24 Parganas, West Bengal. The Institute is housed in an independent, future-ready 13.5-acre academic campus, which integrates various colleges, hostels and support infrastructure for a 10,000 strong, cross-disciplinary student community. The campus is designed by the internationally acclaimed architect Sri Vijay Gupta of New Delhi. He is a master in designing maximum of safety measures.
Computer facility of Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas computing facility is equipped with LAN and all legal software as per requirement of the various departments. The centre has internet facilities with dedicated leased line connection so that faculty and students are able to get the opportunities to download latest developments in their respective areas of interest. There are separate sections for the students and the faculty in this Centre. It is manned by adequate skilled personnel to assist visitors.
Library facility of Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas is well-stocked, organized into various sections and manned by trained staff. It houses more than ten thousand volumes of technical text and reference books in applied sciences and various disciplines of engineering and technology. There is a separate newspaper and journals reading section. The library functions with an open access system from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm daily. Workshops facility of Adamas Institute of Technology – North 24 Parganas students of all branches of engineering undergo a rigorous vocational training course. The Workshop Department of the college plays a key role in imparting practical engineering training.
