Aravali Institute of Management believes that the growth of any organization is derived from the growth of the people who constitute it. Therefore, for any organization to succeed and progress, people development should be of paramount importance and a core value. People development is based on inculcating and imparting requisite management tools, techniques and values to the individuals, their teams and the organizations through education, training and consultancy. The education, training and consultancy provided by us would be of the international standards but meant primarily for the local and national needs. For us, the essence of quality means continuous and consistent upgradation of people perspective (aptitude, attitude and awareness), skills (leadership and talent pool) and processes (systems and procedures) in the organizations. To ensure that education, training and consultancy achieve the desired results these would be specific, relevant, timely, measurable/observable, result-oriented and as per the organizational requirements.
Aravali Institute of Management focus would be to infuse spirit of enterprise and develop people such that they are groomed to become either entrepreneurs (to set up and grow their own organizations) or entrepreneurs (to join and grow the employing organizations). SCOPE To introduce and conduct progressively in phases various Management education programmes of one year full-time, one & half years part-time, two years full-time and three years part-time; in addition to bachelor, master, doctoral and dual degree programmes, Management development and training programmes for small scale industries owners, aspiring/new entrepreneurs and the employees & executives at all levels in various organizations, Societal benefit programmes for members of the public, Video-conferencing and web-based interactive & distance learning programmes, Seminars, conferences, conventions, exhibitions and workshops, Consultancy, case studies, research & development work.
In the various areas of Management such as advertising & publicity, developmental management, entrepreneurship, information technology, insurance & risk management, international business, public relations & corporate communications, R&D/technology management, retailing, sales & marketing, supply chain, telecom, travel & tourism, venture capital & credit management and other areas for organizational revitalization, success and growth.
In a pioneering initiative, at the inception of the Aravali Institute of Management, the Board of Governors and the Advisory Councils of AIM decided to annually conduct AIM’s quality audit to ensure that its academic and other related aspects are maintained in line with the standards expected of a world-class management institution. A select committee from amongst the Advisory Councils’ members, appointed by the Board of Governors, annually conducts this audit. To ensure quality during the course of programme, regular feedback is taken from the students, their parents, alumni, guest faculty and the corporate. Feedback received is analyzed and accordingly the various improvements are made in the existing curricula & courses, faculty, pedagogy, infrastructure & facilities and other aspects on a continuous basis.
In Aravali Institute of Management faculty & Students’ Residence Complex, we have hostel for the boys. In a separate building, we have hostel for the girls. The hostel premises are adequately equipped with the various facilities and infrastructure. Each student in the hostel is provided with cot, mattress, pillow, cupboard, and study table and study chair. The hostel also has kitchen and dining hall to prepare and serve nutritious vegetarian breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner to the hostelites, as per the menu decided by the students’ Mess Committee. Hostels also have Common Room with television, computers in Local Area Network (LAN) for homework, playground with sports facilities, etc. In addition, these premises have guest rooms for the use of our visiting faculty, which also facilitates the hostelites to meet and interact informally with the experts and professionals visiting us.
Academic Complex of Aravali Institute of Management is well equipped with various infrastructure and facilities like the classrooms, conference room, faculty rooms, documentation room, library, computer centers, reception, cafeteria, canteen, etc.
Cafeteria of the Aravali Institute of Management has a large rooftop cafeteria with capacity to seat over 150 people. During the Lunch Break, we have a unique system where all the students, faculty, staff and visiting guests eat together while using this time meaningfully for informal discussion on various aspects. AIM provides home like vegetarian nutritious meals at a nominal charge to the students.
The library plays a pivotal role in an educational institution. With a view to build a top quality library and not to fill up the library with junk books, we had got a unique exercise carried out. On Aravali Institute of Management request, the head of IIM Ahmadabad library analyzed their books issuance records of five years and provided us a list of the most frequently issued books. Accordingly the first set of books was procured for AIM library. While each student is provided a set of textbooks and teaching material by AIM, the library provides a place for extension reading. Presently the AIM library has around 7000 books and 1000 CDs & video cassettes on management and allied topics. We add around 1000 more titles every year to the library. The Institute also subscribes to or receives over 400 periodicals and publications including journals and magazines in Management and allied areas from all over India and abroad.
Aravali Institute of Management Computer Centre With a view to ensure that all AIM students are able to use effectively the latest available information technology tools, we presently have over 160 computer systems from IBM/Compaq and 13 HP laser printers, connected in Local Area Network (LAN) with broadband facility for 24 hours internet connectivity.
Educational Aids In all Aravali Institute of Management classrooms, conference room, computer centers and library we have the latest teaching aids and equipments like computers with internet connection, LCD projectors, overhead projectors, slide projector, white screens and magnetic whiteboards. The Institute also has a fully equipped documentation centre with photocopier, scanner, laser printer, etc.
