Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science and Commerce College - Belgaum is a temple of learning founded in 1969, with a vision to provide education for the empowerment of the rural youth and promote Human excellence. Since then we are pioneers to motivate and develop competence among economically and socially disadvantaged rural students. Endeavoring this task the colleges has been upgrading the rural potential talent to the Urban competency. Acknowledging this unique effort and quality the NAAC has accredited the college at ‘A’ level in may-2004.
Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science and Commerce College - Belgaum is located at Chikodi a rural area of Belgaum district, in Karnataka. The college campus is spread over 24 acre area. The college provides education in arts, science and commerce. ‘IGNOU’ and ‘KSOU’ study centre are also added to reach the unreached. Recently college has added professional courses like B.C.A, B.B.A and PG studies in Commerce and Management to its feather.
Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science and Commerce College - Belgaum library with rich, varied and rare collection of 52,000 books on its and the students. Containing the boundless ocean of knowledge in its bosom the library is nourishing the aspirations of the lovers of knowledge. Constant updating of the books is done in tune with the changing needs. The Library has a provision for Internet facility. 'The Poor Students Lending Library' provides for the lending of books to the poor and deserving students for the entire year. The reading room attached to the library provides news papers, periodicals and magazines for general reading purpose apart from large number of professional journals. An exclusive competitive examinations reference section is set up for the benefit of students. The library is kept open on all working days from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. The working of the library is being looked after by a separate committee.
The gymkhana department of Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science and Commerce College - Belgaum provides the best facilities in the field of sports and games. The college has 400 mtrs track. It has all the necessary infrastructure facilities for athletics / sports events like Hockey, Volley Ball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Cricket and Football. Gymkhana provides the shuttle badminton court, table tennis and facilities for other indoor games. The department is supervised by the highly qualified and experienced Physical Education Director.
Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science and Commerce College - Belgaum B.C.A. Computer laboratory is a unique feature of the college. It houses 15 Pentium III and 14 Pentium IV Compaq computers. The machines are connected with an NT Server. There is a separate cabin which houses 5 computers connected with dial up network for Internet facility. The Practicals for B.Com classes and training in computers for Arts students are carried out in the Computer Lab.
Basavaprabhu Kore Arts, Science and Commerce College - Belgaum provides separate hostel facilities for boys. The hostel is euipped with reading room, mess and purified cool drinking water. Round the clock medical care, telephone and security are the other facilities. A new Women's Hostel is constructed under UGC grant Xth plan with all modern amenities which can accommodate 25 students. Health is an important component of personality. It caters to the health care needs of the staff and students of the college at nominal rates. The health care consultancy service is also made available to the hostel students. The campus has all the amenities to meet the immediate and pressing needs of the staff and students. On the campus we have a Post Office, Bank and a Consumer cooperative society.

Multidimensional programmes in collaboration with various social enterprises and NGOs are conducted to generate awareness among students regarding opportunities. These programmes enable students to improve their talents and interests through discussions and placement activites. We have a separate placement cell headed by Shri. B. S.
