Bhawabhuti Mahavidyalaya - BMV Gondia was established in 1969 in the then Bhandara District (now Gondia District) of Maharashtra State by the Bhawabhuti Shikshan Sanstha.It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Its aim is to empower the educationally backward and disadvantaged rural population by imparting general liberal education in Arts, Commerce and Science subjects with stress on value of humanism, secularism and Nationalism. It offers UG programs namely B.A, B. Com and B. Sc. and P.G. program in M.A.
Bhawabhuti Mahavidyalaya - BMV Gondia has large campus area spread over 10 acres of land with adequate infrastructural facilities and recourses for various educational programs and extension services. In addition to this, college has fully equipped laboratories, Separate herbarium attached to Botany Department, Botanical Garden, Seminar Hall, Gymnasium and Separate Instrumentation Room equipped with sophisticated Instruments. It is proposed to establish a Vermi Compost Plant (Vermi Culture).
Bhawabhuti Mahavidyalaya - BMV Gondia runs YCMOU study centre which provides facilities for courses like B.A. and B. Com. The Vidarbha Cricket Association conducts various screening tests for preparing District level Cricket Team on the college Cricket Ground. Wadia College, Pune has recognized our college as Regional Centre to conduct Graduate Excellence Examination at undergraduate level at three stages (FY, SY and TY level).
Bhawabhuti Mahavidyalaya - BMV Gondia has Large Central Library enriched with more than twenty thousand books. The Library subscribes nine journals, nine periodicals and eleven news papers regularly. In addition to this, each department has its own separate departmental library. The library is connected with Broad Band (internet) facility and a compact disc library facility is initiated. Bhawabhuti Mahavidyalaya - BMV Gondia reading Room remains open daily for the regular and ex-students from 8.00a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Every regular student avails the facility of extra barrower’s ticket (Color coded) to get book of ones own interest apart from regular text book.
