Project is promoted by ‘International Heritage and Education Society’ at one of its educational institution at Colonel Public School, Chural Kalan, Distt. Sangrur, Punjab. The Society is registered under Societies Act of 1860 and under the provisions of Punjab Amendment bill of 1957. The main aim of the society is to establish and run educational institutions including technical and professional. The area of operation of Society is ‘ALL INDIA.
The society has already establishes Colonel School of Nursing at Chural Kalan Distt. Sangrur Punjab and running since 2004. The school has already been recognized / affiliated by Govt. of Punjab Nursing Registration Council (PNRC) and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. We want to and ANM Course for which we have already got NOC from GOVT. of Punjab and already recognized by PNRC for 60 seats. Since we are already running GNM Course we have adequate infrastructure for ANM Course.
Colonel School of Nursing will dedicate its foundation upon which rest the scenario of health care and community health development. They are: Systematic up gradation of health care needs at CHURAL KALAN, MOONAK, BARETTA, and its surrounding areas, Balance between needs & potential of training Nurses, Recognizing Socio-economic health needs and to promote community health as a whole, To produce “FLORENCE NIGHTINGALES” in this society.
The aim and objective of the Colonel School of Nursing is that (i) to prepare competent nurses in healthy & educative environment, (ii) To prepare nurses to meet the challenging situations in nursing, (iii) To maintain the dignity and status of nursing profession, (iv) To teach and train students with scientific knowledge ad principal, (v) To provide opportunities for learning in real institution for practicing nursing both in rural & urban set up, (vi) To develop an understanding of the need for continuing and I service education, (vii) To facilitate students for the sound positive growth as a person as a citizen and as a professional, (viii) To keep abreast students with the advancements in Science & Technology influencing the nursing profession, (ix) To install the minds of students to recognize their abilities for holding different positive in professional affiliated association.
Colonel School of Nursing is open in the premises of colonel Public School, Chural Kalan on the main road from MOONAK to BARETTA. It is surrounded by major towns like MOONAK, BARETTA & LEHRA. The school has a newly constructed building having 28 class rooms and out of this 12 class rooms have been earmarked for Nursing School.
Colonel School of Nursing has class room with a capacity to accommodate the number of students admitted in each class. The room is well ventilated with proper lighting system, built in & portable black/green boards.
Colonel School of Nursing provides health care of the students. The students will receive routine health care during the training period as well as treatment during the illness from the Institute authorities against substantive payment of charges prescribed. All students falling ill, being admitted or being recommended rest for health purpose will be treated as absent from class & this absence shall not be counted towards the required attendance as per rule for appearing in the examination. If students of the Colonel School of Nursing suffering from serious illness are likely to be sent back to their homes for proper treatment. If so required & may be considered for re-admission to the course if found medically fit. Self medication is not allowed.
Colonel School of Nursing has developed a Library, which is well equipped with books and CD'S. More and more new publications are added as and when these are available in India. Various journals, periodicals, magazines, daily newspaper and of course a study environment are the other distinguishing parts of the library.
Well equipped Science lab Computer Lab exists in the Colonel School of Nursing; however the following additional laboratories will be established before the commencement of the course: CSN is facilitated with well equipped laboratories, Fundamental of Nursing Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Nursing Lab. Highly qualified teaching faculty and administrative staff is available.
Colonel School of Nursing offers Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery to students.
Colonel School of Nursing provides its students “At home away from their home” with well furnished facilities. It provides its students water cooler, geysers, television, telephones facilities. Adequate member of Nursing School Buses are there for Hospital Clinical and Field Community Training.
