I have now been online and on telephone for over 45 minutes trying to obtain the area code (401) Cox Customer Service number which will allow me to effect a seasonal downgrade of my service. I have been in numerous hold patterns with your automated answering system and, once when I reached a live person, she transferred me back to an automated menu which did not allow me to select an option to effect a seasonal downgrade on my service. After an hour I finally reached a live representative in Phoenix who began to assist me in downgrading my service. As he was nearing completion (I think) of the operation, he placed me on hold. The duration of that call, according to my iPhone is over 30 minutes. At last he came back on the line and reported that he had effected the downgrade. This person was very polite and helpful,, but your overall system is terrible.
