Dr Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation - Krishna was established in the year 2002 and Dental Institution in the year 2005 for extending health care facilities to the rural needy public under PURA (Providing Urban facilities in the Rural Area) and Medical / Dental Education in Andhra Pradesh under the sponsorship of the Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education, Vijayawada.The Siddhartha Academy, which was established in the year 1975 has emerged as a benchmark of excellence in running educational institutions in Krishna District in and around Vijayawada in particular and in Andhra Pradesh in general. With the objective of preparing the coming generations to face the challenges of future in a better way, the Siddhartha Academy instituted learning programmes from school level to Post Graduate studies and Professional colleges.They have established 18 such institutions so far.It’s motto, “Atma Deepobhava” (Be a light unto thy own self) reflects Siddhartha Academy’s commitment to brighten the future of humanity.

Dr Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation - Krishna ” out of gratitude for the noble gesture of the family members of Late Dr. Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao, Founder President of Siddhartha Academy for donating 31.32 acres of prime land on the national highway.Now the medical, dental and nursing colleges are situated in an area of 40 acres.
Dr Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation - Krishna and its teaching hospital are located in a sprawling 30 acres campus located right on the Chennai –Kolkata national highway (NH5). It is 23km from the Vijayawada city the biggest Railway Junction in South India and just 5km away from Vijayawada airport and everyday air flights are available from Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai cities. The campus is well connected by road. The Institute and Hospital was established in Rural Area in Krishna District covering the population around 5 lakhs from out of 25 lakhs of District population.

It has a well equipped casualty department, pharmacy, central sterilization department and power generator.The hospital was equipped for all diagnostic procedures by the departments of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Blood Bank and Radiology.The hospital has fully equipped 10 operating rooms.
