My husband (F Snyders) and I visited Italy in October 2012. We rented a car through rentalcars.com and picked up a Fiat Panda from Europcar in downtown Siena on 15 October 2012 and returned it to Europcar in Verona on 25 October 2012.
On five August 2013 we received a traffic fine from Comune di Vinci. The date and time of the offence is three May 2013 at 16:46. We were not in Vinci or Europe at the time, having flown home to South Africa on the 26th of October 2012.
On six August 2013 R612.53 was deducted from our credit card, with "Europcar Italia Spa Roma" written next to the amount on the statement.
I sent all the details to rentalcars customer service, but they said I should deal with Europcar in Italy directly. I can send copies of the fine as well.
Could you please look into this matter and organise a refund.
