Government Polytechnic College – Kota is a Government Organisation under the Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Government Polytechnic College – Kota bred from its embryo in the year 1960 with three conventional branches of Civil Engg., Electrical Engg. and Mechanical Engg. Later more branches namely Instrumentation Engg. (1971), Chemical Engg. (1974), Electronics Engg. (1986), Plastic Tech.(1991) and Computer Sc. & Engg. (2001) paved its way into the system.
Now, the institute is offering in total eight Diploma Engineering courses.
