The Founder Principal, Shri Suresh S. Saler was instrumental in giving the necessary impetus to the KLE Societys Institute of Nursing Sciences - KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum between May 1987 and July 1995. These endeavors were continued by Prof. Usha M. Joshi between July 1995 and August 2002. Later on Prof.R.S. Hooli actively guided Institute as a Principal through a very active professional phase during August 2002 to September 2009. Present Principal Prof(Mrs).Sudha A Raddi, is foreseeing the development of KLE Societys Institute of Nursing Sciences - KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum under the ambient of KLE University, Belgaum.The institute pursuing the dynamic guidance by Honorable Chancellor, Shri. Prabhakar B. Kore, and Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. C.K. Kokate, KLE University, Belgaum. Dr. V.D. Patil, Principal, J N Medical College and Dr.M.V. Jali, Medical Director & CEO, have been instrumental in providing facilities that have greatly enhanced the reputation of the Institute of Nursing Sciences. Institute is approved by Govt. of Karnataka, Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bangalore, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
KLE Societys Institute of Nursing Sciences - KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum is situated at Nehru Nagar, Belgaum, Karnataka. Institute aims to be the center of academic excellence and research in the country – aspiring to achieve high level of quality nursing and nursing practice in the global community. The students of this institute gain tremendous insights and practical training through their orientation programs at the K.L.E. Society's Hospital and Medical Research Centre. The students of KLE Societys Institute of Nursing Sciences - KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum are all members of the Student Nurses Association which is a branch of Trained Nurses Association of India. They participate in a multitude of seminars and conferences held by the Association. A strong Alumni association guides students in their vocational endeavors.
KLE Societys Institute of Nursing Sciences - KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum well furnished Library with a seating capacity for nearly a hundred students at a time with 3000 meticulously selected books of various references, 15 foreign journals and 7 Indian Journals are its highlights. It is managed by a full time trained Librarian who maintains the Library efficiently. Besides this there is a Central Library which has more than 35000 books on medical and para-medical subjects. More than 300 Journals are regularly subscribed to. There are 10 Librarians catering to the needs of the large number of students and teachers for almost 16 hours a day. KLE Societys Institute of Nursing Sciences - KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences Belgaum has its own separate hostel in the sylvan surrounds set in the green and festive background. The hostel is well furnished and possesses an enviable and pleasant environment to meet the needs of the students. Also facilities do exist for indoor and outdoor games. Transport facilities on campus and to other areas are well resulated. A Bank, Cooperative consumer store and other facilities make the campus a complete world where the rigours of academics are softened by the serene environment. A community Lab. meets adequately the needs of community for assembly, group-discussion, seminars, and so on.
