Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya of Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed started in 1956. The Arts and Commerce faculties started in the same college in 1960. The college got bifurcated in 1970 and our college which runs Arts and Commerce faculties was named after Rev. Swami Ramanand Teerth. The great Hydrabad Mukti Sangram leader. Under the able guidance of late Principal Shri. B.K. Subnis, our college prospered and got directives for future progress. Our college aims uplifting the poor and downtrodden sections of society. The governing council is a highly learned, experienced and devoted members. We feel it our pride as we have produced Politicians, artists, lowers, judges, teachers and academicians. Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed offers following UG and PG level courses for senior college students. It also offers job oriented courses.
Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed is situated in Ambajogai, Dist-Beed, Maharashtra State. Our college has a big library consisting near about 1,30,000 books, facilitating a spacious reading hall and a reference hall. It has a computer lab where various computer courses are run for our students. Our college has a well equipped gymnasium. We provide facilities to our students for indoor and ourdoor games. We have a big-spacious stadium accommodating 5000 spectators. The college has a pleasant, surroundings with a big lake and green campus. Our college runs UGC-Network Resource center and Competitive examination center for our staff and students. Remedial coaching classes are conducted every year. We have devoted and qualified staffed.
Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed has got National Gold Star Award from International Business Council in 1989. We have undergone the Assessment and accreditation process and have been awarded “B++” grade and now we are preparing ourselves for Re-accreditation. We have been striving for quality enhancement excellence and the all sided development of our students.
The University Grants Commission has been assisting colleges for procuring personal computers since 1987 under the scheme of providing computers to Colleges. In the X Plan UGC proposes to establish "UGC NETWORK RESOURCE CENTRES (UGC-NRC)" in Colleges. The objective of the Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed NRC is to create awareness among staff and students about use of the computer in various activities like administration, finance, examination and research. In addition to it the information and communication network would help the colleges to have an access to multimedia material in teaching and learning at places of eminence in India & Abroad.
Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed is providing canteen facility to the students, teaching and non teaching staff of the college and visitors,it is capable of catering the demands of the students and can accomodate 40 persons at a time . It has spacious & properly maintained room as well as kitchen, Generally the college provides it to any individual on contract basis after proper officials formalities. The College canteen also caters to the functions organized in the college auditorium & other related programmes like seminars, conferences and workshops. An all – round personality development is achieved by inculcating the habit of participating sports. The department has made available maximum facilities to the students. The gym is kept open from 6 am to 7.30 pm. We are working hard and trying to add more equipments to the department.
To imbibe the values of social service and national integration and to provide a platform for the students to express and realise their potentials, the unit of National Service Scheme works in Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya – Beed. To mould, shape and build the personality of youths as well as the people in the society, an N.S.S. unit works. Our unit organizes various programmes and activities which intend to preach and create awareness among student community and villagers. This year following activities and programmes were arranged.The N.C.C. unit has remained busy throughout the whole year conducting programmes, functions and competitions to build the youth with the national feelings of unity, service, secularism, discipline, etc.
