Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - Pune campus boasts of lush green lawns that provide an ambience and a serene atmosphere of ancient Gurukuls far from the madding crowd. It has got 17.625 acres of land, out of which 7 acres as academic building area and 10 acres for playground, hostels and staff quarters. Available built up area for the entire institution is 32,045 sq. mts. It has at present about 2800 students, 225 faculty members, 67 well equipped laboratories having instruments worth Rs. 9.6 crores and 150 administrative and supportive staff. It has a very strong alumni of students spread all over the world. Our Institute is renowned for its consistent performance in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - Pune is an approved study center of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) for conducting training programs in various subjects like Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). Training programs in Hydraulic and Pneumatic maintenance of machines, Electrical maintenance of machines are also conducted. Vishwakarma Institute of Technology is also an approved study center for courses of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), India. We have a training Center for 'I-DEAS' software of Structural Dynamics Research Corporation, U.S.A. The Institute gives due importance to extra-curricular activities like dramatics, singing, acting, debate and quiz competitions. Students participate in inter-collegiate and other competitions and win prizes. The Institute also conducts several such activities on the campus. Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Art Circle ( Aesthetic Committee ) gives an excellent platform to the students for their exposure in the field of art & craft. Every year Art exhibition is being performed in annual social gathering & students participate by exhibiting their paintings, sketches, origami & many more innovative ideas in this area.
