Corporation for Aniline Production reintroduced as L. Gevaert & Cie in Antwerp, Belgium in 1894. Gevaert & Cie started production of X-ray plates and film products in 1898. In the year 1942, intensifying screen products were started by Agfa. During 1952, Agfa AG was re-founded as a 100% flagship of Bayer in Leverkusen. In the year 1964, Gevaert & Cie became Agfa-Gevaert by the merger of Agfa AG and Gevaert Photo-Producten.
