C Abdul Hakeem College of Enggineering and Technology - CAHCET Vellore was established in the year 1998 by Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society, popularly known as MMES, committed to the service of the people, has been striving to provide literacy to the downtrodden, underprivileged people.Initially, the college was started with three disciplines viz., Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Computer Science & Engineering. Then, the college had to its credit two additional courses, viz., B.Tech-Informational Technology and B.E-Electronics communication engineering. In 2006-07 the intake of students in E.C.E and C.S.E department has been increased from 60 to 90. Two P.G courses viz M.B.A and M.E Applied electronics have also been started in 2006 – 07.
