Sacred Heart School of Nursing - Jalandhar has an excellent teaching & training faculty with well-equipped class rooms and labs, and a well furnished auditorium. The school of nursing is situated in a four and half acre plot of land by the side of G.T. Road Maqsudan, Jalandhar City. Sacred Heart School of Hospital has a built up area of 22500 Square Feet of which 8900 Square Feet for 30 seats is being exclusively allotted for GNM Institute excluding Hostel Building.
Sacred Heart School of Nursing - Jalandhar has a beautiful hostel building with well- furnished living rooms, recreation hall and prayer room. Living in the hostel is compulsory for the students. In order to develop a balanced personality, the students are encouraged to participate in religious, social and professional activities. Provisions for sports and games are available and the students are encouraged to use their leisure time creatively. The Catholic Christian community of Punjab always wanted a school of nursing to train their children to become qualified nurses who would be imbued with the service mentality cultivated by Sacred Heart Hospital. Though there was a total ban on opening new nursing schools in Punjab, impressed by the quality of service rendered by Sacred Heart Hospital, the administration agreed to lift the ban in favour Sacred Heart Hospital and permission was given to open Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1995. With twenty students, the school was formally blessed and inaugurated by the Bishop of Jalandhar, His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Symphorian Keeprath.
