Tamilnadu Agricultural University - TNAU Coimbatore is a leading agrotechnology provider of India and its graduates are recognized throughout the world. Though the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) came into being on June 1, 1971, it had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906.
Tamilnadu Agricultural University - TNAU Coimbatore is offering Twelve Undergraduate Degree Programs and Twenty nine Postgraduate Degree Programs in 10 Colleges distributed in seven campuses all over Tamil Nadu. Besides, Tamilnadu Agricultural University - TNAU Coimbatore has 36 Research Stations for agrotechnology development and 14 Farm Science Centers for outreach.
Tamilnadu Agricultural University - TNAU Coimbatore library is the oldest in the city functioning since 1910. The library is distinct in its mission to acquire information, process, organize and make them available for the present generation and preserve them for the future. It has acquired about 160,000 books, monographs, 17,000 text and reference books and 4,500 theses and dissertations. About 380 national and international journals are subscribed with online access for most of the journals.

Four Air-conditioned Interview chambers with all facilities. A State- of –the- art Group Discussion Chamber. Well-furnished reading room with internet connected computers. A plasma T.V in front of the Directorate to flash the latest information on the successful candidates selected for Placement in leading organizations and Higher Education in the institutes of National and International repute besides focusing on the on-going career development courses. There are 41 work stations intended to handle a class size of 41 students.
Each work station carries a computer and head phone and free access to interact with the teacher. The lab is equipped with a well knit public address system for effective teaching of regular English courses and coaching classes.
Tamilnadu Agricultural University - TNAU Coimbatore Campus Interviews are regularly conducted in relation to employers’ indent. About 60 companies and other organizations participate annually in Campus Interviews. About 450-500 graduates get placed every year. Selection process includes written test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Placement Officers meet of constituent colleges is held once in a year for further development of placement and higher education. Job Fair is conducted in March / April coinciding with closure of academic programmes.
