Management Education and Research Institute-MERI, a leading Business School and a center of Excellence in Management/Technical Education was established in 1994 by the Triveni Educational and Social Welfare Society (A Non Government, Non Profit making Organization) with an aim to provide the aspirants with quality education in the field of Management and Technology.
Management Education and Research Institute-MERI provides education from kindergarten level to post graduate level. Management Education and Research Institute-MERI is conducting a two- year (full-time) Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and PGDM (three year) Part- Time which is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, and Govt. of India. The curriculum has been specifically designed to cater to the demands of the Industry. A neat blend of theory and practice develops a high level of confidence and understanding in students. The curriculum is updated every year to keep abreast with the changing trend in industry. “We offer a strong focus on IT with other areas. Management Education and Research Institute-MERI offers speliazation in various areas namely Marketing Management, Financial management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology and also special course in Retail Management, Insurance etc.
Management Education and Research Institute-MERI also offers a three – Years Master in Computer Application (MCA) in affiliation with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The MCA Course is designed to meet the contemporary needs of the industry comprising of a potent combination of theoretical and conceptual know-how. Student is given ample opportunity to interact with working professionals giving them an insight of the industry and an encouragement for developing projects their own.
We have in place, full fledged Training and Placement Cell headed by one full time Professor. He is supported by two placement Coordinators to man the Training & Placement Cell. All the logistic facilities have also been provided to the department including a Stenographer.
The Department regularly remains in touch with the prospective recruiters by identifying the employer companies for placement of our students from PGDBM students. We have got printed Information Brochure of Management Education and Research Institute-MERI Institute & Student profile (of VI th Semester students) in a very attractive booklet form. Regular training is imparted to the student to understand the present day requirement of the Industry. Students are also informed in advance about the visiting companies profile and their activities etc. for general awareness.
Management Education and Research Institute-MERI Placement Coordinators constantly monitors the requirements of the recruiting companies from Web/Newspaper/Consultants/informed circles/our past alumni & taps the companies by visiting them with the required material /data. They help students to develop skills for taking test / interface with the industry and business / corporate sector, arranging guest lectures, HRD, motivational, business-industry-institute interaction, participation in career fares, career guidelines and programs, placement / training process, PTT, counseling the students, presentation skills.
Management Education and Research Institute-MERI has a well stocked library housing 17,000 Books (including 825 reference books and over 30 magazines and newspaper). The Library catalogue is fully computerized. It is available online and students can make selection and advance books of books online. Institute is also a member of American Library Network (DELNET) and can use their database of books and journals. The Institute is also a member of American Information Resource Centre (AIRC) and can borrow books and photocopies of articles of journals. Computer labs are well- equipped with latest software Wi-Fi Campus Internet facility. Institute provides separate hostel accommodation facilities for boys and girls.
