Mother Vannini School and College of Nursing – West Godavari the pioneer institute in Nursing had its origin as School of Nursing in Tadepalligudem in the year 1998.and College of Nursing in 2001. Mother Vannini School of nursing is run by the (society) Congregation of Daughters of St. Camillus, an international registered body of religious sisters with its mother house in Rome, Italy. The Congregation of the Daughters of St. Camillus was founded by Blessed Fr. LouisTezza and Blessed Mother Josephine Vannini. The mission given by the founders is still continuing in various forms through out the world, such as Hospitals, Health Care Centers, Home for aged, Training centers for mentally disabled children and Physiotherapy centers. The growing needs of the society inspired the sisters to start a hospital here at Tadepalligudem. It was a great desire and initiation of Mother Serafina Della Porta (former Mother General) to start a nursing school in the same campus. So as the fruits of the desire and hard work of many hands it came in to existence on 18 December 1998. The first batch of nursing school was started with 39 blooming buds. The institute offers GNM and B Sc Nursing.
Mother Vannini School and College of Nursing – West Godavari is situated at Kadakatla, Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh. A Library with comfortable seating arrangements, proper lighting facilities & proper ventilation which is easily made available to the faculty members & students . There are a minimum of 850 Nursing Books. 2500 textbooks, a substantial number of Foreign and national journals and preserves about 100 dissertations. Journals, Magazines, News Papers & other current health related literature is also made available to the staff & students. At Mother Vannini School and College of Nursing – West Godavari classrooms are equipped with seating capacity of 60 students. Each class room has black board, AV aids, LCD, OHP, slideprojectors. Separate office rooms for the principal, Vice principal Faculty members & Office staff members are the provided with the following facilities.
At Mother Vannini School and College of Nursing – West Godavari Separate well furnished hostel accommodation is provided for student nurses. Rooms accommodate three students and has a minimum of 150sq ft. carpet area. It has proper electrification and ventilation. The furniture includes a cot, a table, a chair, a bookrack, a cupboard and a cloth rack for each student. Toilets and bathrooms with 24 hours running water is provided. Indoor games and a well-furnished dining hall with proper mess facilities, a pantry with water coolers and heating arrangements are provided. Provisions for washing and Ironing are also provided. A full time, qualified warden is appointed to look after the hostel. A separate office room besides a residential accommodation is provided to the warden.
Education is a continuous process form womb to tomb. Mother Vannini School and College of Nursing – West Godavari staffs are actively involved in academic activities. They have regularly participated in national and international conferences, workshops and CNE Programme.
