Mallige Institute of Nursing – Bangalore is the dream vision of Dr. A.C. Sreeram our Managing Trustee, Mallige Education Foundation. Mallige Education Foundation is strong and vibrant organization established to cater to the health care needs of the society which contribute to the cause of nation building. Mallige Nursing School with Diploma in General Nursing and midwifery was born in 1994. The growth of the organization was seen in 2002-2003 when the bachelor degree of Basic BSc. Nursing was started in order to train quality nurses. Now the Masters in nursing programme is in the process of commencing from 2008-2009. The college is situated at Sector II, HMT Post, Bangalore, Karnataka.
Mallige Institute of Nursing – Bangalore functioning under RGUHS, draws its Philosophy from the philosophy and policies of the university. The faculty of nursing assumes responsibility for teaching research and services and recognizes the need for participation in all there by teacher and student. We believe that the individual, from an early age, learns to adopt to this environment, where she/he develops awareness and achieves participation as a member of a family, community, society. Each individual possess his/her own unique personality and characteristics, reflecting internal and external factors which in turn affect the rate and extent to which movement towards self actualizations is realized.
Mallige Institute of Nursing – Bangalore library has an excellent collection of national and international books, e-journals through HELINET, journals on medicine, nursing and related subjects. Hostel facility is available only for girls. Students are accommodated in spacious, well-ventilated rooms provided with all the necessary comforts. They have a separate mess managed by the students themselves. A full time warden is appointed to look after the general cleanliness of the hostel and to see that the students adhere to the rules and regulations. She takes the night attendance at 8.00 p.m. and reports any violations of hostel rules of the Principal for corrective action. Two buses for students to be taken to all their clinical postings.
