Ahdaf Soueif is a politician and cultural novelist of Egypt. She was born on March 23, 1950 in Cairo Egypt. Ahdaf has done her Ph.D Linguistic from University of Lancaster. She has written a number of books including Aisha, In the Eye of the Sun, Sandpiper, The Map of Love, trans. of I Saw Ramallah by Mourid Barghouti, Mezzaterra: Fragments from the Common Ground, I Think of You, Cairo: My City, Our Revolution and many more. Ahdaf has bee awarded several times for her works.
